I USED TO BURN BRIDGES, NOW I JUST VICTIMIZE PEOPLE SO THEY’LL LEAVE ME ALONE

Photo by Jacob Colvin on Pexels.com

overwrought with despair—

here’s my pink slip

never wanted to be here

every weekend

i used to be depressed

now i’m just

peachy

ignored all my friends for weeks

now they ghost me

what’s your secret

to being happy?

i was bargain bin trash

up until you found me

i know that sounds weird

but you really saved me

when…

and how did we connect?

and how could i find time

when we’re always

so busy?

and how did everything

get so shitty?

and if i had a second chance

i’d do it all again

all i do is waste time

how could i make amends?
